Organic Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus)
Considered a Superior Class herb for radiant skin, Astragalus is widely used throughout the Orient as a tonic food and medicinal plant and studies show it stimulates virtually every phase of immune system activity. It increases the number of "stem cells" in the marrow and lymph tissue, and stimulates their development into active immune cells which are released into the body.
Organic Calendula Flowers (Calendula officinalis)
Calendula is excellent or adults and children, as it is gentle and soothing for dry and sensitive skin. Calendula has natural anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, vulnerary (aiding healing of wounds) properties and is wonderful for skin infections, wounds, rashes, bites and inflammations. Recommended for mixed and oily skin, as calendula oil is somewhat cooling and slightly drying.
Calendula is also known to help the healing of skin inflammations, rashes, scars and is helpful for eczema and diaper rash. It is rich in carotene and saponins, and is excellent for damaged skin. Calendula is so gentle that it is appropriate for babies, especially for helping to heal diaper rash.
Organic Chamomile Flower (Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria)
Chamomile contains phenolic derivatives, which have antiseptic and healing qualities, and is helpful in relieving skin congestion. Chamomile is commonly used as a sleep aid, and for its cell regeneration, healing, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as reducing skin puffiness. Chamomile studies show it is helpful with acne, skin irritation, rashes and other skin problems and promotes cell regeneration.
Organic Chrysanthemum Flower (Chrysanthemum morifolium)
The Chrysanthemum flower is known as the "Queen of the fall flowers" in the US and has ascorbic acid, beta-cartone, calcium, fiber, folacin, iron, magnesium, niacin, potassium, riboflavin, essential oils, and contains compounds that help fight staph infections of the skin.
Organic Cilantro Leaf (Coriandrum sativum)
With Alpha-pinene, lauric acid, p-cymene Cilantro is more than just yummyy, it is also antimicrobial and has been found to mobilize mercury from the tissues, and has been proven to help combat skin cancer and studies show it has benefited some chldren with Autism.
Organic Cleavers (Galium aparine)
Cleavers is rich in Chlorophyll, citric acid, rubichloric acid, tannins. Cleavers have been used in washes and cosmetics to remove freckles as well as for skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis. A pasture plant of Britain and North America. The entire plant is used in herbal medicine, and is harvested just before it blooms in early summer.
Organic Dandelion Root (Taraxicum officinale)
Dandelion contains properties that are beneficial to our bodies: bitter compounds, choline, inulin, large quantities of minerals such as calcium, sodium, silicic acid, sulfur and, in the fresh leaves, a high content of potassium. Dandelion root is a "blood purifier" that helps both the kidneys and the liver to improve elimination. It helps clear up many eczema-like skin problems because of this.
Organic Echinacea (Echinacea Purpurea & Echinacea Angustifolia)
The most popular American medicinal plant of all time. The sugars of the herb are its immune stimulants. Echinacea is particularly beneficial for the treatment of sores, wounds, burns etc, and possesses a cortisone-like and antibacterial activity.
Organic Oatmeal (Avena Sativa Kernel)
Oatmeal contains a high amount of antioxidants and is known to sooth inflammation, itchiness and dryness, and helps to protect the skin. Oatmeal moisturizes and if used regularly skin will become more elastic and softer. It is highly recommended for people with eczema, rosacea and acne. Colloidal oatmeal has its own natural anti-itch properties and helps to relieve dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, acne, bug bites, sunburns, and other minor skin irritations. Oatmeal is also known to relieve and calm the skin with chicken pox, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, and other itching and scratching skin issues.
